digidoc works independently of all scanners, fax-servers, and large multi-function devices and reads documents as image files, supporting all common formats. Once documents are digitized, digidoc provides efficient, cost-effective image management, classification and intelligent data extraction services.
Electronic stacks of scanned document pages can be sorted automatically into single and multi-page documents. During this process, the attributes and index data required for structured archiving are applied.
The system uses integrated barcode and character recognition services to read index data in zones at specific positions or across the entire contents of a document. Extraction services can also read data from variable positions on documents. The extracted data can be validated against any external database and supplemented by the system using various business rules. Finally, documents and extracted data are transferred in secure transactions to downstream document management, workflow and / or ERP systems. With pricing based literally as just pennies per page, digidoc facilitates tremendous cost savings that in most cases already exceed digidoc’s costs within the first year.
Flexible export to any target application or process
After classifying your documents and extracting the data from them, digidoc exports the processed documents, index data and attributes to any archive repository, workflow process, ERP system or other application via digidoc’s customizable export services. There is also a flexible option for the electronic distribution of email. Documents can be sent as attachments or sent as reference “links” to their respective locations or directly to the electronic mailbox of the responsible staff member based on classification and extract results. Microsoft Exchange Server, Lotus Notes and all MAPI- or SMTP-based mail systems are fully supported.
